Here is a list of the best beaches in Las Terrenas. If you have limited time in Las Terrenas and can't visit all the beaches I would suggets visiting the beaches on the east side of Las Terrenas for the best experience.

Playa El Anclón

1. Playa Punta Popy

This beautiful beach is located very close to the center of Las Terrenas. There is a lot of shallow water so ideal for kids and enough palm trees to relax in the shade.

2. Playa Mar Gorda

Located next to Playa Punta Popy is the quieter beach: Playa Mar Gorda. You can relax in the sand or on the grass. No beach chairs or other facilities, just beautiful beach views.

3. Playa Bonita

This is propably the most touristy beach in the region. Several hotels are located on this beach so you can definitely expect a more touristy vibe here. Not really my thing, but it is a beautiful beach and it’s a long beach so there are still a lot of quiet beautiful spots to hangout peacefully. And because of the long coastline you can have a nice long beachwalk.

4. Playa Carolina

One of the most beautiful beaches in this region! Here is also a lot of shallow calm water. From here you can walk to Playa El Anclón and you will pass some beautiful mangrove trees.
